Okay, see, I brag enough in a day to get by. Here in journal land, I get to pretend I suck. Somehow, it all evens out. Mediocrity can be funny, if played with an ambitiously straight face. It's hard to pull off the straight-face routine over the 'net -- everything is a straight face here. So I tend toward the negative, toward caricature, so that the exaggerations carry through the medium. Hopefully I'll become a better writer and I'll be able to drop the caricature.
Before we reach the political tags, I just have to inform you all: pipe cleaners really are used to clean tobacco pipes. Before I quit smoking I purchased and used four different types of pipe cleaners, all of them white. It surprises me how many people are surprised by this.

My feelings on the 2004 presidential election (ABB) and, more 2004 election thoughts, speculative, grousy and less focused. Bottom line: the Dems and Reps at the national level are deeply flawed. Reject violence and construct your own solution.
